Bisotun Petrochemical complex

Bistoun petrochemical Company is located on Kilometer 8 of Kermanshah-Bistoun road, northeast of Kermanshah city. The complex which is the first petrochemical industry unit in west of the country was founded in 2000 on an area of 63 hectares and was commissioned in 2005. Bistoun petrochemical complex has played a significant role in growth and flourishing of the economy of the region and the country by annually producing 50,000 tons of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) – which is the primary material for detergents-and 6500 tons of heavy alkyl benzene (HAB) – which is used in manufacturing lubricant oils and transformer oils and in one of the largest industries of the Oil Ministry in the Kermanshah Province, in west of Iran. Bistoun petrochemical was transferred 68% of its stake to Mahan Industrial Development. Now three seats of the five board of directors seats are held by this group.
